  One of the best university of Bangladesh. 1921 the university was established. Then there was a few student and teacher.But now there many and more students and teachers. The location is very good and the faculty buildings are beautiful. The students of this university get good job in future. Every feel proud if he become the part of the university.

  Definitely a five star educational institution in Bangladesh. Offers an impressive number of courses and manages a mind boggling number of students. The cost is practically nothing in these government universities. The lack in terms of infrastructure, funding and attitude to higher education can be argued, but in my opinion everyone is trying to take this institution to a better place.

The university is ranked number one on the Bangladesh University Ranking 2017.[5] Established in 1921 during the British Raj, it has made significant contributions to the modern history of Bangladesh.[6][7][8][9] After the Partition of India, it became the focal point of progressive and democratic movements in Pakistan. Its students and teachers played a central role in the rise of Bengali nationalism and the independence of Bangladesh.

  The University started its activities with 3 Faculties,12 Departments, 60 teachers, 877 students and 3 dormitories (Halls of Residence) for the students. At present the University consists of 13 Faculties, 83 Departments, 12 Institutes, 20 residential halls, 3 hostels and more than 56 Research Centres. The number of students and teachers has risen to about 37018 and 1992 respectively. The main purpose of the University was to create new areas of knowledge and disseminate this knowledge to the society through its students. Since its inception the University has a distinct character of having distinguished scholars as faculties who have enriched the global pool of knowledge by making notable contributions in the fields of teaching and research.
