::নিজেই রোগাক্রান্ত মহাখালী সংক্রামক ব্যাধি হাসপাতাল হাসপাতালের ভিতরে বৃষ্টির পানিতে ভাসে মানুষের বর্জ্য। ময়লার স্তূপ থেকে আসা দুর্গন্ধে নাকে কাপড় চেপে যাতায়াত করে মানুষ। কম্পাউন্ডের ভিতর ঘোরাফেরা করে গরু, ছাগল, কুকুর। একমাত্র অ্যাম্বুলেন্স নষ্ট হয়ে পড়ে আছে। নেই আইসিইউ। এই হলো ১০০ শয্যাবিশিষ্ট মহাখালী সংক্রামক ব্যাধি হাসপাতালের চিত্র। একমাত্র বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিৎসক ডা. সৈয়দ আহসান তৌহিদ বলেন, ‘হাসপাতালের এরকম পরিবেশ দেখে প্রথম দিন কাজে যোগদান করে আমার চোখে পানি চলে এসেছিল। হাসপাতালে পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মীর এত সংকট যে, এই অল্প জনবল দিয়ে হাসপাতাল ভবনের ভিতরে পরিষ্কার রাখা কঠিন। ’ সরেজমিন গতকাল হাসপাতালে গিয়ে দেখা গেছে, ঘড়িতে বেলা ১১টা পার হতেই লম্বা হতে থাকে কুকুরের কামড় আর বিড়ালের আঁচড়ে আহত রোগীর সংখ্যা। একজন নার্স পরিষ্কার করছিলেন রোগীদের ক্ষতস্থান। এরপর ইনজেকশন দেওয়ার পালা।

::From My experience There,I can Say they are doing the best they can.With the limited resource and manpower they have,They are Treating Patients Fairly.Their Vaccination Programmes Are Very good.Although I Think They should Arrange counselling Programmes For The AIDS Patients.

Moreover, modern treatment has been providing to the HIV positive patients and drug addicted people at the Infectious Disease Hospital at Mohakhali in the capital Dhaka, It is also known as IDH (Infectious Diseases Hospital).
