  Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) is the largest multi- crop research institute under the umbrella of BARC under Ministry of Agriculture. It's conducting research on a wide variety of crops, such as cereals, tubers, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, spices, flowers, etc. Besides variety development, this institute carries out research on such areas as soil and crop management, disease and insect management, water management and irrigation, development of farm machinery, improvement of cropping and farming system management, post-harvest handling and processing, and socio-economic studies related to production, processing, marketing and consumption.

  Such an wonderful views everywhere. It’s a me of the largest research institutes in Bangladesh in every category of research institutions. There is a huge landmark for the BARI. Bangladesh agricultural research institute is a whole package for every plantation except rice crops. Though rice institute is just beside the BARI.

The central research station of the institute is at Joydebpur about 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Dhaka.

  Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of agriculture, that conducts research on all crops except rice, jute, sugarcane, and tea for which there are separate institutes. The central research station of the institute is at Joydebpur about 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Dhaka. The research compound of the central station is spread over 176 hectares of land of which 126 hectares are experiment fields. The institute has established six regional research stations in six regions of Bangladesh to develop new technologies. These research stations are located at Ishurdi, Jamalpur, Jessore, Hathazari, Rahmatpur, and Akbarpur. It also has 28 research stations including three hill research stations (Khagrachari, Ramgarh and Raikhali). Besides these, BARI has seven crop research centers, four of which are at the central research station at Joydebpur.
