  The university was established in 1994 as AMA International University Bangladesh, a joint venture between AMA Computer University of the Philippines, and local sponsor Anwarul Abedin. Regular academic classes started in 1995. AMA Computer University later left the partnership, and in 2001 the university was renamed American International University-Bangladesh.[4][5] Campuses Edit The University is located at Kuratoli Road, Kuril, Dhaka. The campus area is about 5 acres (2.0 ha). A total building area of 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) [6][7] is being utilized which is distributed on following departments: Administration Building. FASS Building: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Math, Department of Basic Sciences and Department of Architecture. FBA Building: Faculty of Business Administration. FE Building: Faculty of Engineering and Department of Computer Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. FSIT Building: Faculty of Science and Information Technology and the IT Department. AIUB IQAC Building: Office of Pro VC, Office of FBA Dean and AIUB IQAC. Account & Audit Building: Accounts and Audit Sections.
